History
- Neelkanth Mineral Industries began its journey as M/S Neelkanth Chemical Works and obtained one of the largest leases of the world famous Sodium Bentonite at Akli in Barmer district of Rajasthan in the year 1953.
- ‘Neelkanth’ was the first lease holder of Bentonite in Rajasthan. Bentonite was an unknown Mineral in India that time.
- The first pulverizing unit was established at Barmer in 1957 with 110 HP generator.
- ‘Neelkanth’ also obtained a high grade Selenite Mines (Calcium Sulphate with 99 % purity) at Thob, Thesil Pachpadra in Barmer district of Rajasthan in the year 1954.
- A large unit of Surgical Grade Plaster of Paris in Jodhpur (India) was also established in the year 1959.
- The founder of ‘Neelkanth’ group, Late Shri Ami Chand Salecha’s son Mr. Shanti Chand Salecha established M/S Neelkanth Mineral Industries in the year 1990 and second unit M/S Neelkanth Chemical Products started in the year 2001 at Boranada, Jodhpur.
- ‘Neelkanth Mineral Industries’ is located at G-24, Industrial Area, 1st Phase, Boranada, Jodhpur (India) ‘Neelkanth’ manufacturing all grades of Bentonite Powder and also offering wide range of Products using the latest Specific Standard, Techniques & Technology.

Infrastructure
We have state-of-the-art infrastructural facilities at the unit. Here, we have installed Pulverisor with conveyor Belt to grind Bentonite as per customer̢۪s demands. Our yearly production capacity is about 20000 MT of Bentonite Powder. We have huge reserves of Sodium Bentonite at Akli district Barmer Mines, in its high swelling, best gelling, instantaneous Thixotropy, fine Base Exchange capacity and high Montmorillorite contents to fulfill all specification in various fields. The dynamic growth of the company for over the 55 years has made it possible to expand manufacturing activity for foundry, drilling, piling, coal briquetting and various other fields.
We also have an in-house R&D laboratory and that has resulted in many quality Bentonite products being added to our range. Our products conform to high standards owing to the new technologies and developments in Bentonite by our experts at the unit.
